Marathon of Mewar

This monument located at Diwer, is a testament to the Longest Battle faced by Maharana Pratap. After getting defeated in the Battle of Haldighati, the great Maharana reformed his troops and used Guerilla Warfare to fight several ensuing battles. In fact, “Diwer” is the only place with Maharana’s statue holding a sword (talwar) in hand. This sword symbolizes how the Mahrana sliced the Mughal Warrior Behlol khan and his horse into two pieces. Such was the valour of Maharana that this place has a statue in the honor Maharana Pratap Ji 100 ft above the ground.
